Police issue CCTV images after attempted robbery at Basingstoke store

Police say they would like to speak to two men in the CCTV images above in connection with an attempted robbery at the One Stop store on Shakespeare Road in Basingstoke.

Between 9.45pm and 10pm last night (Sunday 27 February), two men entered the shop armed with knives and demanded money from a staff member.

The men then left the store empty handed. Both suspects ran from the scene and headed towards Popley.

Police say they know their faces are hidden, but have decided to release CCTV images to give you an idea of the clothing they were wearing.

The first suspect was wearing a black balaclava, a black zip-up top, grey jogging bottoms and gloves. He was carrying a black JD Sports bag.

The second suspect was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the leg.

He was wearing black trainers, gloves and was also carrying a black JD Sports bag.
