CCTV image issued after burglary at Hungerford shop

A coffee shop in the hIgh Street was targeted

Police have released a CCTV image in relation to a burglary investigation in Hungerford.

At some time between 5pm on Tuesday (18/4) and 8am today (19/4), offenders have broken into the Elaine’s Coffee Shop in High Street Hungerford.

They conducted a messy search of the premises and stole a safe, containing an unknown quantity of money.

Investigation officer PC Nicky Alexander, based at Newbury police station, said:

“I am releasing this CCTV image, as I believe the people in this picture may have vital information that can assist this investigation.

“If you recognise either individual in the image, please contact Thames Valley Police, either by making a report online or by calling us on 101, quoting reference number 43230169356.

“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
