Man charged with burglaries in Basingstoke

Commercial properties were targeted in May and June

A man has appeared in court charged as part of an investigation into a series of burglaries at commercial premises in Basingstoke and north Hampshire.

Kye Reynolds, 37, of Aylings Close, Basingstoke, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday 3 July, and has been remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 26 July.

He has been charged with:

• Burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal at an address in Weyhill Road, Andover on May 8

• Burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal at an address in Goat Lane, Basingstoke on May 11

• Burglary other than dwelling – theft at an address in Worting Road, Basingstoke on June 6

• Burglary other than dwelling – theft at an address in Buckland Parade, Basingstoke on June 28

• Burglary other than dwelling – theft at an address in Wade Road, Basingstoke on June 30

He has also been charged with three counts of handling stolen goods, two thefts from a motor vehicle, and possession of cocaine.

A second defendant, Ashley De-Reland, 39, of Attwood Close, Basingstoke, has been charged burglary other than dwelling – theft for the same incident in Wade Road on June 30. He has been bailed to appear with Reynolds at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 26 July.
