Binfield's players and staff will drive through their village as they head to Wembley for their FA Vase Final.

It's the first time in the club's 129 year history that they will have played at Wembley and the 'mole men', as they are called, are taking 1500 fans with them.

Residents of the Berkshire village are being encouraged to come out and wave off the team on Saturday morning as they leave their hotel at Coppid Beach in Bracknell at 8:15 and head to Binfield via St. Marks Road, then Terrace Road South, turning left at the centre roundabout onto Forest Road, and then doing a loop around the library roundabout (Forest Road/Benetfeld Road and Wicks Green junction) before heading back the way they came and off to Wembley!

Regardless of the outcome against Warrington Rylands the send off be a 'thank you' to the villagers who've decorated the area with moles and messages of good luck.

Earlier this week the tiny club were hosted by their Championship neighbours Reading FC at their state-of-the-art Bearwood complex. The team were able to train and undergo covid testing.

"a big moment for the people of Binfield, Bracknell and Berks"

Local politicians have also been offering their support with Bracknell MP James Sutherland wishing the 'moles' well "Huge congratulations to Binfield FC for getting to the FA Vase Final. A fantastic achievement for all the players, staff and supporters. And a big moment for the people of Binfield, Bracknell and Berks!" and there was even good luck tweet from neighbouring Berkshire MP Adam Afryie as well

On Thursday Chairman Bob Bacon was amongst those who paid a visit to Wembley to orientate themselves ahead of the big day.

Binfield fans heading to Wembley are being asked to wear red.

For fans unable to make it to Wembley the game will be shown live on TV, and whatever the outcome the 'mole men' can already be assured they'll be welcomed back with warmth and gratitude for putting Binfield well and truly on the map!
