Barrier repairs ongoing following crash on A34 in Berkshire

Barrier repair work is causing traffic delays on the A34 in Berkshire following an early morning crash involving three lorries.

The crash, which happened just after 3am this morning, left one lorry jack-knifed, requiring repairs to the barriers.

No injuries were sustained.

National Highways has confirmed one lane in both directions remains closed this lunchtime while work is carried out.

The traffic monitoring service Inrix provided an update just after 11am saying: "One lane closed and queueing traffic for two miles due to barrier repairs on A34 Southbound after High Street. Travel time is 15 minutes."

Drivers travelling through the area are urged to plan ahead and prepare for delays.
