Police have released CCTV images of two men they'd like to speak to following the theft of a bank card from an elderly woman in Reading.

At around 11am on Thursday 25 November a theft occurred in Waitrose car park on Oxford Road.

The victim, a woman in her seventies went to her car to put her shopping away and put her trolley back. A man then shouted to her that she had left something in the trolley.

The victim left her car to check but could see there wasn’t anything there that belonged to her.

Later that evening she noticed her card was missing and contacted her bank.

Two transactions had been made on her card that were not made by the victim, totalling just over £5000.

Investigating officer, PC Hayley Broome based at Reading police station, said:

"We are releasing these CCTV images as we believe these individuals may have vital information that could help us with the investigation.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210536531.
