Police are appealing for witnesses after a gang tried to steam a cash machine from the Co-op in Oakley just outside Basingstoke.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of an attempted burglary at the store on Oakley Lane during the early hours of Wednesday 29 December.

Officers were called just after 3am to reports that a group of men had attempted to steal an ATM from the store. The group was unsuccessful.

Police have now launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
