Police investigate arson in Basingstoke

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was set alight in Basingstoke.

They were called at 3.44am yesterday, 19 May, by Hampshire Fire and Rescue service to reports of a Vauxhall Astra on fire on Quilter Road. The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.

Damage was also caused to an Audi that was parked close by.

Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for any information that could assist in their investigation.
