Arson investigation in Basingstoke

Three people managed to escape safely after the front of a property was set alight

Police are appealing for information or witnesses following an arson incident in Basingstoke.

It happened at around 3am on Sunday morning (8 August), when the front door of a property in Timor Close was set alight.

Three occupants were inside at the time - they managed to get out and no-one was injured.

Officer say two people, both male, between the ages of 15-25, and both of slim build, were seen in the area at around the time of the incident.

They are asking residents if they have CCTV - or motorists driving past at the time if they have dash-cam footage.
