Man arrested over fatal crash on the A34 in Berkshire

A man has been arrested in connection with an incident on the A34 near Chieveley during which a motorcyclist sadly died.
A 43-year-old man from Oxford was arrested yesterday (17/6) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision. He was released under investigation.
At 6.55pm on Sunday (13/6) a motorcyclist, a man aged in his fifties from Aylesbury, tragically died after he lost control on the A34 northbound, as he passed underneath the M4.
Senior investigating officer, Sergeant Darren Brown of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Three Mile Cross, said:
“We would still appeal for any witnesses to this incident, or anything in the lead up to it, to please get in touch with police if you have any information that could help us.
“We would like to appeal specifically to anyone that saw a 2012 plate, silver BMW 1 Series at the time, before or after the collision. This car was distinctive as the rear passenger side window was broken and covered with plastic and tape.
“And I would again also like to emphasise the importance of any dash cam users checking their footage, in the case that it captured anything significant.
