Witness appeal after houseboat burglary

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a houseboat was burgled in Reading.

Last Friday (March 17), a houseboat that was moored on the River Thames footpath behind the Tesco superstore in Napier Road was burgled between 7:45am and 1pm.

Police believe the offender, or offenders, gained access to the houseboat through a wndow.

Electricals and tools were among the items that were stolen.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jen Cox, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who thinks they could have witnessed this, or who has any information which could help our investigation.
