Mobile phones stolen in Andover street attacks

Police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a series of incidents in Andover.

Around 5.45 pm on Monday 12 December, two 17-year-old males went to the NatWest Bank on Bridge Street in Andover when they noticed two young males wearing black balaclavas.

They were followed up the High Street, to the junction with Newbury Street.

In this area both victims were assaulted and the two masked males stole one of their mobile phones.

The suspects then ran away towards the direction of West Street.

Around this time, a 22-year-old man reported being followed by two masked individuals in the Lidl car park, before being assaulted near the former magistrates court on West Street.

The masked males stole the victims phone then left the scene.

Following initial police inquiries we are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
