Three jailed over Andover county lines drug supply
Two men and a woman have been sentenced to between 2 years and 40 months
Two men and a woman have been sentenced for drugs supply offences relating to a suspected County Line operating from London into Andover.
Nathaniel Vamboi, 26, of Mount Pleasant, West Norwood, London, Sherihan Sharif, 28, of Broomwood Road, Orpington and Davontae Smith, 21, of Saltwood Close, Orpington were sentenced at Winchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs at a previous hearing.
Sharif also pleaded guilty to possession of Class A drugs – cocaine.
The court heard that Vamboi, Sharif and Smith were operating the ‘lucky’ line between London and Andover from May 2022 to September 2022.
During the investigation, officers seized mobile phones belonging to Vamboi, Sharif and Smith along with a quantity of suspected cocaine from Sharif’s address.
Phone analysis carried out on all three of the phones revealed bulk marketing messages being sent to Andover drug users, offering heroin and crack cocaine for sale.
Appearing at Winchester Crown Court, Vamboi was sentenced to 40 months in prison, Sharif was sentenced to 30 months in prison and Smith was sentenced to a two years imprisonment, suspended for two years.
Police Constable Matt Bonner from the Northern Police Investigations Team said:
“I hope that this sentence sends out a strong message to drug dealers and those involved in drug networks that it will not be tolerated in Andover or Hampshire.
"Anyone who tries to set up a network in the county will be relentlessly pursued and brought before the courts.
"I also hope this demonstrates our commitment to tackling and disrupting County Lines drug dealing to prevent the exploitation of vulnerable people and keep our communities safe from the harm drugs and the associated crimes cause."
