Van driver dies in crash on A33 in north Hampshire
The van he was driving collided with a car on a petrol forecourt
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision near Sherfield-on-Loddon.
Shortly after 12.30pm yesterday, Wednesday 15th February, we were called to a report of a road traffic collision on the A33 at Turgis Green.
It was reported a yellow MAN TGE 3 van left the southbound carriageway and collided with a silver Volkswagen Passat that was parked on the forecourt of a petrol station.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the driver of the MAN TGE 3, a man in his 50’s from Reading, Berkshire, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other people were injured.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Officers investigating the incident are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened.
