40-year-old assaulted and robbed in Reading by three men

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Reading.

Between 1am and 1.30am yesterday (4th December) the victim, a man in his forties, was approached by three men on Oxford Road.

The victim was assaulted and his phone and wallet was stolen.

The first offender is described as an Asian man, aged between 20 and 25 years old. He is approximately 6ft 3inc tall with a slim build. He had trimmed facial hair, braids which were to his shoulders but shaved on one side.

The other two offenders are described as Asian men, aged between 25 and 30 years old and both were shorter than the first offender.

The victim sustained facial injuries and potential injuries to his ribs and he received hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

Investigating officer, PC James Packman based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident and would encourage anyone with information to get in touch.

“It is understood the offenders left in a vehicle from the scene.
