On your marks… it's almost time for the Reading Half Marathon!
Sunday 14th April 2024 sees the return of the Reading Half Marathon and Greatest Hits Radio can’t wait to be part of this uplifting and inspiring event, once again as Radio Media Partner!
It’s the biggest running event in the historic town, which started back in 1983, and sees this year’s starting line in the beautiful Green Park.
The course takes runners around the town, through the University of Reading, under the historic Abbey Gateway, winding its way out to Prospect Park before heading down the A33 to the finish in the Reading Football Club Stadium itself – a finish line that literally makes the hairs stand on the back of your neck as the crowds roar you home!

It truly is a wonderful occasion for the town as people flock to the streets to cheer every runner – fast or slow, expert or beginner – all the way around the 13.1 miles.
