MK Dons are consulting supporters on potential changes to the club crest as part of efforts to modernise the club’s identity and align with regional development plans, including the Cambridge to Oxford growth corridor.

The club has invited season ticket holders, including Club Red, Club Gold, Club Platinum, and Club Black hospitality members, to vote on three new crest designs or retain the existing one. Voting closes at midnight on Thursday, 20 February.

Chief Executive Officer Neil Hart explained that the club wants to ensure its identity keeps pace with the evolving landscape of Milton Keynes and the surrounding region.

“We felt we wanted to look at the brand and identity of the club. We feel it’s a new era, a new dawn,” Hart said. “We started to talk to staff and supporters' groups, and we just felt it’s something we’d like to explore. We’re not saying we’re definitely doing this, we just want to have that conversation.”

He stressed that any decision would be based on fan input. “This is fan-led, let me make that very clear,” he added.

The vote is limited to season ticket holders and club partners to prevent external influence. “We want to protect that vote,” Hart said. “We all know the history of MK Dons. I do not want this to be sabotaged.” He acknowledged a range of reactions, stating, “I’ve had really positive messages, negative messages, aggressive messages—everything really. But the whole point is to have a conversation.”

Hart also highlighted the broader growth opportunities in the region. The government has proposed significant investment in the Cambridge to Oxford growth corridor, with plans for thousands of homes and improved transport links to create what has been described as “Europe’s Silicon Valley.”

“We have a fantastic asset in our stadium, we’re in an unbelievable city, and we want to move the club forward on and off the pitch,” Hart said. “That takes time, but we’re very excited about what the future holds.”

The final decision on the club crest is expected to be announced in March.
