After over 100 Spanish football fans descended on Adams Park at the weekend, we've been hearing from the man behind the YouTube Channel which organised the trip.

La Media Inglesa wrote to all 96 football league teams, with Wycombe Wanderers being the only club to reply in Spanish - and therefore chosen as their OFFICIAL team.

The delighted fans watched the Chairboys secure a crucial three points against promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, winning 1-nil.

Jordi Furriol is the marketing director for the YouTube channel and says it was 'love at first sight'.

"The moment we got into Adams Park, everybody was cheering at us, shouting and applauding - it was like a King's reception!"

"I'm a football coach, so I've been coaching for the last 17 years. For me, last Saturday was like rebuilding my bones with real football.

"Nowadays we know there are like these big teams, you know, these football enterprises who are not taking care of the fans.

"But when I arrived on Saturday night it was like OK, this is football."

Jordi tells us they also made a deal with iconic striker Adebayo Akinfenwa - should Wycombe gain promotion to the Championship.

"He LOVED fried chicken - it was like crazy for our community. They associate him with fried chicken!"

"He made a promise if they get to the Championship, he will buy fried chicken for all the fans and the players! So it was like this special connection at the beginning."

If other results go their way, Wycombe Wanderers could get into the play-offs with a win away to Burton Albion on Saturday.

Just two points separate Sheffield Wednesday in fourth place and the Chairboys, who are currently outside the play-off positions in seventh.
