Wycombe Wanderers are through to the League 1 play-off final after beating MK Dons 2-1 on aggregate in the semis.
MK Dons had it all to do after losing 2-0 to the Chairboys in the first leg last week, but despite one goal and a dominant performance from the home side, they couldn't do enough to turn the tie.
The Dons started the game very much on the front foot, and came close to an early goal, as Harry Darling's looping header from a corner in the 1st minute hit the the top of the bar.
The home side continued to pile of the pressure, with midfielder Scott Twine coming close to opening the scoring in the 17th minute after working the ball on to his left foot, but dragging his shot wide of the goal.
MK Dons finally got the breakthrough in the 26th minute, when Troy Parrott converted a cross into the box. His header looped over Chairboys keeper David Stockdale, and suddenly the Dons faithful could sense that the comeback was well and truly on.
After the half-time break MK Dons came to close to bagging an equaliser. Troy Parrott was involved once again, seemingly one on one with the goalkeeper, but an incredible last ditch sliding challenge from Chairboys captain Joe Jacobson denied him his second goal of the evening.
Stadium MK became increasingly tense as the half went on, with the home side desperately searching for an equaliser to take the game to extra time.
In the 84th minute, Kaine Kesler Hayden whipped in a beautiful cross from the right hand side but substitute Conor Wickham headed his effort wide - a big chance for the Dons.
Despite a barrage of corners in the final few minutes, Wycombe Wanderers hung on for the win and booked their place in the League 1 play off final at Wembley!
All eyes will be on Hillsborough on Monday night as Sheffield Wednesday host Sunderland in the second leg of their semi final, with the visitors 1-nil after the first leg.
