Woman dies after falling from hospital car park roof in Stevenage

Police confirm they are not treating the death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner

A woman in her thirties has died after falling from the roof of The Lister Hospital car park in Stevenage early this morning (Friday, 10 January).

Police were called to the scene at around 5:30 am following reports of the woman being on the roof of the multi-storey car park. Despite the efforts of both officers and paramedics, the woman tragically died.

Her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said, “Officers remain at the scene at this time. Her death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

No further details about the incident have been released at this stage.
