Jailed for driving whilst disqualified and without insurance in Denham.
A woman has been jailed for driving offences in Denham earlier this year.
Louise Casey, aged 35, of Cowley Road, Uxbridge, has been sentenced to serve eight weeks in prison by at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday this week.
Ms Casey was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 21 months and ordered to pay a surcharge of £154.
She pleaded guilty to one count of driving whilst disqualified and one count of using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
Investigating officer, PC Matt Carson of the Roads Policing Unit, said:
“On the afternoon of 20 April this year, a white Peugeot Partner van being driven along the A40 Oxford Road in Denham activated Automatic Number Plate Recognition indicating the vehicle was uninsured.
“Thames Valley Police Road Policing officers subsequently stopped the vehicle, and the driver was identified as Louise Casey, who was disqualified from driving at the time.
“This case demonstrates that you cannot get away with driving offences; we have numerous tactics and tools to enable us to identify you.
“The custodial sentence imposed by the courts is a clear message of the consequences if you choose to drive whilst disqualified.”
