Woman dies in A6 crash

A woman has died after a crash involving two cars on the A6 near Haynes.

The crash between a red MG ZS and a purple Volkswagen Transporter happened on Saturday afternoon around 5:20pm.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but one woman was sadly pronounced dead.

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries, with several other treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Bedfordshire Police are now appealing for witnesses, and officers say their thoughts remain with the family and friends of those who died and are seriously injured.
