Thames Valley Police are continuing a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Milton Keynes.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, South Central Ambulance Service responded to an address on Holywell Place, Milton Keynes, where a woman in her forties required urgent medical attention. She was transported to hospital but was later pronounced deceased.

The woman has since been identified as Carol Georgiou, aged 42, from Milton Keynes.

Her family is currently being supported by specially trained officers from Thames Valley Police.

Following initial enquiries, a man in his forties was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody after a warrant for further detention was granted.

A Home Office post-mortem examination has taken place, but the cause of death remains undetermined as further forensic tests are required.

Detective Chief Inspector Mike Roddy, the Senior Investigating Officer, extended condolences to Carol’s family, stating, “Again, I extend my deepest sympathies to the family, and I would ask that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”

DCI Roddy confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and a police presence remains at the scene. He expressed gratitude to the local residents for their patience, noting, “A man remains in custody at this time, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43240529892, or to report information online.
