Woman airlifted to hospital and a man arrested after A41 crash
Police believe up to six vehicles were involved
Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A41 yesterday (August 21) involving up to six vehicles.
Police were called to the serious collision yesterday at around 10:10am on the southbound carriageway between Hemel Hempstead and Kings Langley.
A white Mercedes tipper HGV and a black Peugeot were among the vehicles in the crash, and the three people in the Peugeot were taken to hospital.
A man and child were taken via the road to hospital, with injuries that aren't thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A woman was airlifted to hospital with injuries that are potentially life-changing.
A 44-year-old man from Ilford, Greater London, is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Hertfordshire Police are appealing for information, footage and witnesses to the incident.
Sergeant Alex Ward, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.
“If you were driving in the area and have a dash-cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage to assist our investigation."
