Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a road traffic collision in Stevenage.

Around 12.50pm yesterday, an e-bike was travelling up the footpath next to Fairlands Way and Chells Way when it was involved in a collision with a pedal cycle.

The pedal cyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 25-year-old man from Stevenage was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody for questioning.

PC Thomas Piper, who is investigating, said: “We are appealing for witnesses as we continue to piece together what happened.

“If you have any information, please email me via [email protected]. Additionally, if you were driving in the area at the time and captured footage of the e-bike or pedal cycle in the moments prior to the collision, please upload this via herts.police.uk/dashcamupload.”
