"We'll win 13-0" says Luton Town Boss
The Hatters are all but relegated heading into today's final premier league match
Luton boss Rob Edwards hopes his side can "end the season on a high" during their final Premier League game at home to Fulham on Sunday.
The Hatters head into the game knowing their relegation was effectively sealed by last Saturday's 3-1 defeat at West Ham, which left them three points adrift of fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest with a deficit of 12 in terms of goal difference.
Barring an unlikely chain of events, Luton will make an immediate return to the Sky Bet Championship along with already-relegated Burnley and Sheffield United, meaning all three promoted clubs will have gone straight back down.
Although the Premier League debutants made a fist of it at times, they have won just six of the 37 games they have played to date and only one since the end of January.
Luton went down 1-0 in the reverse at Fulham - courtesy of Carlos Vinicius' goal, in September - and will hope to finish with a bang having at least taken their fight to the final day.
In his pre-match press conference, Edwards said: "We'll pick a team best suited to win the game.
"We want to end the season on a high, we want to reward the fans for their unbelievable support with a win and three points.
"We want to finish as high and with as many points as we can. We want to find any kind of motivation and try and go into the next season as high as possible.
"We'll try and win 12-0 and see what happens. But the bottom line is, we want to give a good account of ourselves and reward the fans for the support they've given us over the past 37 games."
The Hatters will be without Ross Barkley and Reece Burke against the Cottagers.
Barkley was taken off just before half-time in last weekend's defeat to the Hammers and will miss out with a calf injury, while defender Burke is absent with an Achilles issue.
