A Watford man has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of violently robbing two teenage girls.

Jack Biggs, 24, formerly of Farriers Way, was convicted following a trial in October 2025 and sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on 19th December.

The court heard how Biggs approached the two victims, aged 13 and 16 at the time, outside Tesco Extra on Lower High Street in Watford on 3rd September 2021.

Biggs assaulted the girls, punching one in the face and pulling the hair of the other, before stealing their mobile phones.

Speaking after the sentencing, Detective Constable Julie Vint from Watford’s Criminal Investigation Department praised the strength shown by the victims. “The victims had to wait a very long time for Biggs to be sentenced due to multiple delays in the court process, but they have shown dignity and composure beyond their years," she said.

She added, “Biggs’ actions on that night demonstrated that he is a violent offender, targeting vulnerable females. Now he is behind bars, he is no longer a risk to the public. I’m pleased we have finally been able to secure a custodial sentence, and I hope it allows both girls to move forward with their lives.”

Biggs is now serving his nine-year sentence.
