Bucks and Chilterns residents are being encouraged to explore local sites this summer.

Visit Buckinghamshire and The Chilterns has created some brand-new itineraries for places to visit, food to eat and things to do for people living and visiting this summer.

They will help everyone to learn more about Buckinghamshire’s historic houses, vibrant market towns, food and drink offerings, the family fun on offer and much more besides.

The itineraries are based around a three-day time slot in the county but are packed with ideas for those who have longer, or want to return.

Hosted and managed by Buckinghamshire Business First, the Visit Buckinghamshire and The Chilterns website is the most visited tourism website in the county and they're hoping to help locals enjoy the area this summer.

The guide highlights the wealth of historic homes in Buckinghamshire, including Waddesdon Manor, the home of PM Benjamin Disraeli at Hughenden Manor, scandal-rocked Cliveden House and Georgian gem Stowe House and Gardens, and more.

Information on the market towns is also included highlighting the markets but also independent retailers, pubs, cafes and more.

They've also showcased activities for children like the Roald Dahl story museum and how they can follow in his footsteps on countryside trails.
