The virtual gig in aid of Buckinghamshire Mind is happening this evening.

Buckinghamshire singer/songwriter AMiR is holding a live stream gig this evening to raise money for Bucks Mind.

He has partnered with the local mental health service to support them in this difficult time but also to try and give people a break through music.

AMiR says he has a strong personal belief that mental well being should remain a priority:

“Mental health awareness and wellbeing is more important now than ever.

“I have lost friends and family who have struggled with depression and have also seen my friends come out the other side with a new lease of life due to charities like Bucks Mind.

"Music and performance is my life and, because of not having any live shows this year, I’ve also struggled with my own mental health at times.

"Having this show to look forward to brings a great deal of uplift and excitement to me, and I sincerely hope it will do so for others as well.”

The livestream is free to watch and 100% of any proceeds collected will go to Bucks Mind.

Kari Channell, Communications and Fundraising Officer said:

“Buckinghamshire Mind is delighted to share a ray of light by way of live music from AMiR. We hope this will help raise everyone’s spirits during these difficult times.

"We are very grateful to AMiR for his support in helping to break down stigmas of mental health issues, encouraging conversations about mental health and wellbeing and raising vital funds for Bucks Mind.”
