'Violent and unprovoked attack' on teenage boy in High Wycombe

Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault

A 13 year-old boy has suffered bruising to his head and face, as well as a cut to his arm, after being assaulted in High Wycombe.

It happened at around 4.30pm on Saturday (11 September), when the victim was with three others cycling in the car park of the Swan Theatre.

They were approached by a larger group of boys.

The group managed to corner the victim and assaulted him by punching him to the floor and repeatedly kicking him.

The group of offenders are all boys, aged between 14 and 16 years old.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics, but did not require further treatment.

Two 15 year-old boys and a 14 year-old boy, all from High Wycombe, were arrested on suspicion of assault on 12 September and have since been released on police bail until 8 October while investigations continue.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Emily Sendall, of Slough CID, said:

“This was a violent and unprovoked attack on a young boy, and I am appealing to anybody who witnessed what happened to please contact police.

“I am particularly keen to hear from anybody who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area to please check this and contact us if it has captured anything that can assist the investigation.

“Thankfully, although shaken by the incident, the victim is recovering well, but we are committed to investigating this offence thoroughly.
