Virtual hearings on future of Aylesbury Vale's development

The Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan is moving closer to completion

The plans for the future of Aylesbury Vale's development are being looked at in virtual hearings, starting today.

The Local Plan will shape the growth of the area over the next decade or so - with thousands more homes on the way.

Bucks Council will be recording and posting the debates online, as they're invitation only.

The sessions follow the completion of a public consultation, which ran from Dec to early February on the Further Main Modifications to the plan.

There were just over 370 responses to the latest consultation, which have been used as the basis for the four Hearing Sessions, and the Inspector will not be accepting any new comments on the plan.

The virtual sessions will be held virtually from 13 - 16 April 2021.

The events are by invitation only, but they will be recorded and made available online afterwards.

More information and the agendas for each session are available on the VALP pages of the council website.

A spokesperson for the Council said:

"The council has been keen to keep the public informed, and involved, the whole way through this very thorough process, and we're always grateful that people take the time to respond to the consultations.

"This is another important milestone on the way to adopting the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan."
