Police are appealing for witnesses after two officers were assaulted in Watford.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday the 14th of November on the High Street near the Twisted Monkey bar.

As officers dealt with two men - following reports of disorder - they were approached by a woman who assaulted them.

A 22-year-old woman from Harrow has been arrested and released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Adam Bates, who is investigating, said:

“Thankfully, neither of the officers sustained serious injuries. The High Street would have been fairly busy at this time, and we believed that several people may have witnessed the incident taking place or captured footage on their mobile phones.

“If you did witness the assault taking place, or have any information that you think could assist with our enquiries, please get in touch. Any information, even something that may seem insignificant, could be key to progressing our investigation.”

If you can help - you are being asked to contact officers on the 101 number.
