Two more arrested after 17-year-old stabbed to death in High Wycombe
Police arrested a man and a woman yesterday
Thames Valley Police officers investigating the murder of a 17-year-old boy in High Wycombe have made two further arrests.
Yesterday (May 10), a man and a woman, both aged 32 and from High Wycombe, were arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Earlier this week, officers arrested two men aged 29 and 49, also from High Wycombe, were arrested in relation to the murder, remain in custody after officers received a warrant of further detention.
The arrests relate to an incident on Sunday (May 7) where Thames Valley Police and the ambulance service were called to the Easton Street area of the town after reports of a stabbing.
The 17-year-old, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
A post-mortem from the Home Office now should the preliminary cause of death as a stab wound to the back.
The victim's family are still being supported by specially trained officers.
A second 17-year-old boy was also injured during the incident, but his wounds are not believed to be life threatening.
Senior investigating officer Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate this tragic incident thoroughly and have made further arrests.
“I would like to thank all those who have come forward so far with information relating to this incident and would encourage any others who may have information but are reluctant to come forward to please think again. A young person has lost his life needlessly.
“I would also like to again appeal for anyone who was in the area of Easton Street between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Sunday evening (7/5) to come forward. If you saw anything unusual or have any dash cam or video footage from that location at that time, please get in touch on the numbers below.
“Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and friends at this most difficult time.
