Two men sentenced for drug offences in Buckingham

Following police investigations, two men have been sentenced for drug offences in Buckingham.

Ganiyu Dolapo Ajimobi, aged 28, of Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone, London, was sentenced to four years and four months in prison at Amersham Crown Court on 14 June.

Sadiq Abubakar, aged 22, of Hunter Street, Buckingham, was sentenced to a year and nine months in prison, suspended for two years, at the same hearing.

Both pleaded guilty to two counts each of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin, at the same hearing.

Ajimobi also pleaded guilty to one count each of dangerous driving, using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and breaching a non-molestation order.

While Abubakar also pleaded guilty to two counts each of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine and heroin.

The two men had been on the police radar for a while ; On 11 January, officers arrested the two men during the execution of a warrant as part of a proactive investigation into drugs supply in Buckingham.

Through investigations it was discovered that Ajimobi was in charge of supplying cocaine and heroin in the Buckingham area, with Abubakar working for him, since 3 August last year.

On a separate occasion, Ajimobi drove dangerously in Milton Keynes on 19 September last year ,refusing to stop for police before driving on the wrong side of the road in an attempt to evade officers.

Ajimobi also breached a non-molestation order between 22 November and 1 December last year.

Both were charged on 12 January.

Investigating officers PCs Jake Farrell and Levi Fensom said:

“We will continue to disrupt and tackle drug-dealing in Buckingham and the wider force area, but we need the community’s support.”
