Two men arrested after teenager stabbed to death in High Wycombe

Police remain highly visible in the town

Two men have been arrested following the murder of a 17-year-old boy in High Wycombe.

Yesterday (May 8) two men, aged 49 and 29, both from High Wycombe, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

They remain in police custody.

Thames Valley Police were called to the Easton Street area of the town on Sunday (May 9) to reports of a stabbing.

A 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

A second 17-year-old was also injured and taken to hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Our investigation into this tragic incident continues at pace, and we have now made two arrests.

“I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who was in the area of Easton Street between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Sunday evening (7/5) to come forward. If you saw anything unusual or have any dash cam or video footage from that location at that time, please get in touch on the numbers below.

“There remains a large police presence in the town while our investigation continues. Members of the public should feel free to approach our officers if they have questions but please bear in mind that there will be some information they cannot share with you.
