Two people from Welwyn Garden City have been jailed at St Albans Crown Court for supplying crack cocaine and heroin across Hertfordshire.

Kimberley Davis, aged 33, and Shane Anderson, aged 41, both of Lincoln Close, were sentenced on Wednesday (10 May), having pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, between January and July, 2022.

The pair came to police attention after enquiries by the Metropolitan Police Service revealed a county line was being run from their address.

A warrant was executed at the property on 21 July, 2022 and the pair were arrested. A phone was located, as well as drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug dealing.

Detectives from the Hatfield Local Crime Unit worked throughout the night to ensure the pair were remanded that day and a complex investigation was subsequently carried out.

As a result, Davies was sentenced to two years imprisonment, while Anderson was jailed for three years and nine months.

Detective Constable Ellie Cowling, who led the case, said: “This is a great result and I’m pleased the pair are now facing the consequences of being involved in drug supply.

“We were able to prove to the courts that their offending had escalated significantly, from minor drug use, to running a full-scale Class A supply line.

“Drugs and the violent criminality often associated with them destroys lives and causes misery and fear among local communities; we will not stop our relentless pursuit of those involved".
