Two men charged and another arrested following triple stabbing in Houghton Regis

Two men died and another was hospitalised after the stabbings on Sunday

Two men have been charged and another has been arrested in relation to a triple stabbing that took place in Houghton Regis last week.

The stabbing took place in the early hours of Sunday morning which resulted in the death of two men and the hospitalisation of another.

Yesterday, Nicholas Papworth and Curtis Long were each charged with:

  • Two counts of murder
  • One count of attempted murder
  • Three counts of conspiracy to murder
  • Three counts of conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm

Papworth was also charged with one count of perverting the course of justice.

Police have said both men will appear in court this afternoon.

Along with Papworth and Long, another man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
