Two men have been charged with 17 offences after a major police operation at flats in Bedford.

Officers were called to Bury Court in Church Lane on the 27th November.

A small number of residents were evacuated with police remaining on site all of Sunday.

Paul Burton, who's 44, and 36 year-old Nathan Turner, both residents at the flats, have been charged with multiple possession of an imitation of a firearm offences as well as robbery.

Burton's also been charged with attempted murder, making threats to kill and criminal damage.

Turner has also been charged with four counts of criminal damage.

Both men appeared in court on Tuesday where they were remanded ahead of their next appearance.
