Tring Coach Company recognised for tour services
After a difficult period Masons are excited to be celebrating their return alongside the award
A Tring Coach Company has been recognised for their tour services after an 18 month wait the 2020 British Coach Tourism Awards were held on 22 September 2021.
The awards took place at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on 22 September 2021 and coincided with the British Tourism & Travel Show at the NEC, Birmingham on 22-23 September 2021.
For the Coach Tour Operate - Small Fleet award the Judges were looking for a coach tour operator with between one and five tour coaches that can demonstrate a commitment to quality, innovation, training, customer service and has an excellent industry reputation.
The Judges wanted to see examples of how the operator has developed and enhanced its product.
Which, after looking through the entrants, judges decided was Masons Coach and Minibus Hire Ltd.
Candice from the company says that its great to be recognised for their work:
"We are really please because this is for services we were providing pre-pandemic, and we have been able to keep these up and go even further since then.
"The group travel and tourism was non-existent in the pandemic so for it to bounce back slowly but strongly is gteat.
"The fact that we can now say 'you are travelling with an award winning company for your days out and holidays' is very exciting."
The presentation evening – where traditionally hundreds gather to celebrate – was originally due to take place on 25 March 2020, just over one week before the first coronavirus lockdown came into effect.
Says Event Director Helen Conway:
“After 18 long months of widespread disruption across the sector, we are delighted to be able to host the British Coach Tourism Award celebrations as we collectively welcome the return of coach tourism.
“Finally, we will find out which of the deserving finalists will be crowned as winners for their exemplary pre-pandemic achievements – at a fantastic in-person presentation evening, where we can truly celebrate the reunion and restart of our industry. Congratulations and good luck to all our finalists!”
