Tributes paid to 'well-loved and selfless man' murdered in Luton
Police have today named Sukhjinder Singh-Gill, known locally as Mickey, as the man who died on Monday
The family of a man who died suddenly in Luton have today paid tribute to him, following his death on Monday.
57-year-old Sukhjinder Singh-Gill, known locally as Mickey, 57, was found by paramedics at an address in Althorp Road.
A murder investigation was launched shortly after by Bedfordshire Police.
Today, Mickey's family have paid tribute to him. In a statement, they said: "Mickey was a well-loved brother, uncle and son. He was polite and respectful and would never harm anyone.
“Mickey was well known in the local community and loved by all who knew him.
“He was a selfless person and would always look out for others, put them first and help people where he could.
“His death has come as a shock and he will be sorely missed by everyone, especially his friends and family. The family would like to thank the police and the local community for their support at this difficult time.”
Detectives have since charged a man with murder in connection with Mickey's death.
42-year-old Nathaniel Sereaton, of Milliners Court, was charged on Wednesday and has been remanded in custody.
An appeal for further information is continuing.
