Emergency services attend train incident at Hatfield
British Transport Police say there will be cancellations and delays

Services between Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield have come to a standstill due to an incident on the trainline.
There is disruption to journeys between Peterborough and King’s Cross this afternoon.
Emergency services have been sent to deal with the incident, so this part of the line has been closed to allow them to work safely.
While some services are being diverted and delayed to keep passengers moving, some journeys are being cancelled due to the disruption.
The British Transport Police stated: ‘British Transport Police were called to the line near Hatfield at 2.26pm today (10 August) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.'
'Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.'
'Officers are currently working to identify the person and inform their next of kin.'
'The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.’
