Man arrested after teenage girls assaulted in Berkhamsted

Hertfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after three teenage girls were assaulted in Berkhamsted.

Officers were called after the incident around 1am, on Monday May 6th, where there was a fight between a group of men on the High Street, before the girls were assaulted.

One, a 19-year-old, hit her head and seriously injured her arm.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH, assault causing ABH and assault by beating.

Police have released him on bail whilst their enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Karen Jordan, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “Our investigation is progressing, and I am asking anyone with information to please get in touch.

“Were you in the area at the time of the incident and saw what happened, or have any further details that may assist us? Please email me with any information, no matter how small or insignificant you feel the details you have may be. Thank you.”
