Three people have been sentenced for drug-related crimes in Aylesbury, after 'cuckooing' an elderly disabled woman.

Cameron Samuel, 23, of Belgrave Road, Aylesbury, received a prison sentence of two years and eight months. Kingsley Barlow, 23, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. Danielle Harley, 36, of Fowler Road, Aylesbury, was handed a two-year prison sentence, suspended for two years. All three pleaded guilty to charges related to the supply of controlled drugs, specifically cocaine, heroin, and crack cocaine.

The court heard that on 6 December of the previous year, officers observed Barlow involved in a suspected drug deal in Aylesbury. Barlow was identified as operating from an address on Belgrave Road. When officers forced entry to the property, Samuel fled through a window but was later found nearby. Inside the property, officers discovered Harley, the resident, who was described as a vulnerable, disabled, and elderly woman. The police also found a quantity of class A drugs, cash, and mobile phones.

Following their arrests, Barlow, Samuel, and Harley were charged the next day.

Investigating officer PC Gary Ratcliffe from Aylesbury police station stated, “This criminal group were able to work their way into a vulnerable woman’s address and take it over, using it as a base to supply class A drugs from. This conviction sends a clear message that we will not allow the exploitation of others and will deal with them as robustly as the criminal system allows.”

PC Ratcliffe also emphasised the importance of public assistance in tackling drug supply offences. “The information from the public around drugs supply offences plays an important role in helping to stop illegal drugs supply, which will not be tolerated. If you have any information which can help us in this effort, we would encourage you to report it to us by calling 101 or through the online reporting on our website. You can also report information completely anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
