Three people arrested following tool thefts
Officers attended a number of incidents over the weekend.
Bedfordshire Police has arrested three people in connection with a series of tool thefts from vehicles across the county during the weekend.
Officers were alerted to a number of incidents which took place in Flitwick and Maulden on Frida where a group of men in balaclavas were reported to be breaking into vans to steal tools.
Further incidents were reported in Bedford, Marston and Luton over the weekend and an investigation was launched. Collaborative working from various teams within the force, including CID, Armed Response, Response and Community officers, meant three people have been taken into custody.
Detective Constable Suzanne Chappel from Bedfordshire Police CID, said, “These incidents took place over a short period of time, in various parts of the county.
“Our teams worked swiftly together to make use of intelligence to be able to enable these arrests. Our investigation will continue and we ask that anyone who has more information or CCTV to get in touch.”
