Three arrested after double stabbing in High Wycombe
A man and a woman are in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries
Thames Valley Police say three people have been arrested after two were stabbed in High Wycombe on Sunday night.
Officers were called to Havenfield Road around 11:30pm on August 11th.
A 45-year-old man, from High Wycombe has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He is currently in police custody.
Police say a 41-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, both from High Wycombe have also been arrested, on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
The 41-year-old man and the woman are currently being treated in hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Holly Stockwell, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I appreciate the concern incidents such as this have in the local community, but I would like to reassure the public that at this stage of the investigation, we believe the victims and offender are known to one another, and there is no wider risk to the public.
“I would also like to confirm that we do not currently believe there is any link to a previous incident in High Wycombe two weeks ago in Amersham Road.
“We have a scene-watch in place at the location, which will remain for some time, and so if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to speak to one of our officers at the scene.
