Aylesbury could be about to get a third McDonald's as part of plans for an old factory site.

Plans have been put in for the old Askeys site on Stocklake.

It would mean a drive-thru and restaurant, as well as 11 new industrial units behind, right near the Lidl store.

The factory, which made ice cream cones, closed last March, when Silver Spoon moved the jobs to Essex.

If approved, this would give the town a second drive-thru, alongside the often busy Broadfields site.

Demolition of the former factory has already begun.

It explains that it is not McDonald's themselves applying, but that it seems fairly certain the chain will take the restaurant unit.
