Thames Valley Police takes part in national knife amnesty
The aims of Operation Sceptre include removing dangerous weapons from the streets
Thames Valley Police is joining police forces across the country by taking part in Operation Sceptre.
This is a national week of action designed to challenge and reduce the threat of knife crime across the Thames Valley.
The knife amnesty is running from today (15 November) until Sunday (21 November).
Residents are being reminded that they can safely and anonymously dispose of any type of knife or bladed article.
The aims of the operation are to remove dangerous weapons from the streets, reduce knife crime and raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
Permanent knife amnesty bins are located in the following police stations:
Aylesbury
High Wycombe
Milton Keynes.
Additional knife amnesty bins are located in:
Aylesbury; Southcourt Baptist Church, Penn Road.
Anybody with any information about the possession of knives or criminal activity can contact Thames Valley Police online or via 101.
