Teenager stabbed in Borehamwood

Their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening

Hertfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Borehamwood yesterday morning (September 18).

It happened at around 8:40am near to an address in Milby Court on Leeming Road.

Police received a call that a teenager had sustained a single stab wound, which is not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.

Detective Sergeant Katie Stevens who is investigating said: “We are appealing for information relating to the incident which occurred this morning.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time or has any footage of the reported incident, please contact police.”

Chief Inspector Mark Bilsdon said: “I want to reassure the public that in light of recent events, we are working hard to trace those responsible and keep the community safe.

"We have increased patrols in the area and officers will be present at a community engagement event in the area, alongside colleagues from local partner organisations including Hertsmere Borough Council and other local services.

“Residents will be able to discuss any concerns and find out more about the help and support available to them from the various agencies."
