Teenager punched in the face during attempted robbery in Buckingham

The teenager required hospital treatment after the incident in Buckinghamshire.

A 16-year-old required hospital treatment after an attempted robbery in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, on Sunday (08/11).

The teen was walking along Buckingham Railway Walk between the A421 ring road and Hunter Street with his girlfriend at 3.30pm.

Six teenage boys approached them, and one grabbed the victim by the chain around his neck. When the victim refused to hand it over he was punched in the face.

The victim was then chased down the path before running away.

The 16-year-old sustained swelling and cuts around the eye area which required hospital treatment. He has since been released.

A 15-year-old from Buckingham has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in police custody.
