Teenager suffers concussion and chipped teeth after assault in Thame

It happened after he was approached by between 10 and 15 teenage boys

A teenage boy has suffered a concussion, chipped teeth and multiple cuts and bruises, after being assaulted in Thame.

At around 11.30am on Thursday (18 March), the boy was walking along the Phoenix Trail behind Lord William’s school near Maple Road when he was approached by between 10 and 15 teenage boys.

They then assaulted the victim by stamping and kicking him until he was unconscious.

He required hospital treatment, but has since been discharged.

Thames Valley Police has said the offenders were all teenage boys aged between 15 to 16.

A 16 year-old boy from Thame and a 15 year-old boy from Chinnor were arrested on suspicion of assault with injury and have been released on police bail.

Investigating officer PC Alan Rae, based at Thame police station said:

"This was an isolated incident and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this, or has any information, to please get in touch.
